Disabling Loki Checkout

When trying to isolate an issue with the Loki Checkout, it might be a good thing to temporarily disable the Loki Checkout to see if this solves the issue. This implicates falling back to the Luma Checkout.

In general

The Loki Checkout can quickly be disabled via setting Loki > Loki Checkout > General > Enable to No (loki_checkout/general/enable is 0). The only caveat here is that Luma Checkout still needs to work.

With Luma Themes

Once the Loki Checkout is disabled, the original Luma Checkout takes over, because in Luma it is still the default checkout.

The only issue might arise if you are using the Loki Theme Kit as well, which purposefully breaks the Luma checkout. To disable Loki Themes as well, choose one of the following options:

  • Apply the default theme also to the checkout (for instance with the Yireo_ThemeByRoute module);
  • Disable all Loki modules;

With Hyva Themes

With Hyva Themes, the issue is that there is no default theme. Once the Loki Checkout is disabled, a message will show that no checkout has been configured yet. We do not recommend enabling the Hyva Checkout at this point, it will make matters even more complex. Instead, use the Hyva Theme Fallback module to serve the checkout page via a Luma-based theme: This brings back the default Luma checkout as well.
